Lake Norman State Park: Weed Out Day!

Join rangers at Lake Norman State Park for an Invasive Species Awareness week event.

Invasive Species Awareness Week is the last week of February. Each day has its own theme and Friday March 1^st is  ‘Become a Community Champion!’ In honor of that, we are hosting a volunteer workday to help us eliminate some of our invasive species.

This is a family-friendly event. Please dress for the outdoors, bring gloves, and a gardening shovel if you have it. We will meet on the corner of St. John’s Rd. and Clarke Cove Rd. to walk down one of our fire roads.
